What is a PRX T33 Peel exactly?

The PRX T33 Peel is a chemical peel does not visibly peel you because it works on the deeper layers of the skin without affecting or damaging the outer layers of the skin. PRX-T33 was originally developed as a treatment for children with scars and within recent years it was FDA-approved for aesthetic purposes. It is specially formulated to boost collagen production, improve skin elasticity, and minimize the appearance of sunspots, blemishes, enlarged pores, acne scars, stretch-marks, and wrinkles.

    How does the PRX-T33 Peel work?

    The PRX-T33 contains a combination of trichloroacetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid. The peel penetrates deep and acts on the epidermal layer down to the basal layer, stimulating it to regenerate and renew. It is able to remove toughened skin without damaging the epidermis at all.

    What can I expect during the Peel?

    After cleaning and drying the skin, the solution is applied by massaging into the skin until the product is completely absorbed. Each session will include between 2 and 5 applications. Next, the skin is washed and rinsed with a water soaked pad, followed by a moisturizing and nourishing cream. Patients get to take home an after-care product to improve the effectiveness of the peel. 

    How long does the Peel take?

    The PRX-T33 (Now PRX Derm Perfexion) session typically lasts about 20  minutes on average. Patients can resume norma activities right after.
