How many SmoothCool IPL treatments will I need?
The number of SmoothCool IPL treatments needed depends on the reason for treatment, skin goals, age, life-style, areas treated, conditions treated and genetics. A minimum of 3-4 IPL treatments per area is recommended for best results. Results are long-lasting, annual maintenance treatments are required.

Do SmoothCool IPL Treatment hurt?
No, SmoothCool IPL Treatments do not hurt. It does feel a bit warm but is not painful.
What is the downtime with the SmoothCool IPL Treatment?
There is no real downtime to speak of. IPL is noninvasive and other than the treated spots turning darker initially there is really no social downtime. Mineral Makeup can be applied several days later to cover up any discolorations and initial redness from the treatment. Initial redness, blotches and dark spots on treated areas should not last more than 5-7days. Some patients have less post treatment redness than others. Dr. Sultan and staff will address specifics at your consultation. After SmoothCool IPL your skin will glow and look refreshed, broken capillaries will disappear though some vessels may require several sessions to fully disappear. Patients can see improvements in their skin quality almost immediately, best results are seen within a month after treatment.
